Interview by Ms. Anna
NUT-RAGEOUS, how did you come up with that name and how does it represent you?
Nut-Rageous: Well they used to call me Peanut, and as a rapper I didn't think it was the
proper name to come in with,
I had to come in with something more fierce. Since I was growing up in the hood, I had a lot of rage in me.
You grew up in the heart of the Hip Hop
culture but what was the one thing, influence, or event in your life that made you decide to be an MC?
Nut-Rageous: Watching my cousin DJ, when I was young I didn't know what he was
listening to but I liked the beat, and I was instantly attracted to the lyrics. When I saw Grandmaster Flash,
Melly Mel's, Rakim, and Big Daddy Kane videos, I wanted to be a part of it .
The culture, the way everybody was dressed, the slang in the vocabulary, and the girls in the videos.
Often MC's will claim that their style is different from others out there,
but how would you describe your style, being that is is really different from the norm ( of today's music ).
Nut-Rageous: The creativity, as far as how I mix the humor, with the streets.
Also, in reality itself, I've been through a lot but I'm a dumbed out ni**a.
I don't talk about too many materialistic things, I'm more for the people and the lyrics.
You've toured Spain with the Beatnuts, tell me about that some more.
Nut-Rageous: I look at as an experience, but I grew up with the Beatnuts, seeing them always.
The only big thing was the reaction in Spain when they hit the stage. That's how I knew hip hop was real
big being in another country. My Cousin went to school
with JuJu and PschoLes so I would see them often. It was crazy to see all these people who had love for them.
'Play Da Field', your single. It's a monster, to be honest. Who is the producer for this song?
Nut-Rageous: Sean Du from 12 Monks Production label.
He's also from Corona, Queens, New York. He works for a lot of underground artists
Matter of fact you have various great producers on your EP and 12" which makes a statement all by itself.
Diversity is such an
important part of the success of an album. Who were the producers for these projects and why did you choose them?
Nut-Rageous: I had NowWhat Productions
KS 40Below
Sean Du
Cee da Cuban and Ron Millz
To me these are the DJ Premier, the RZA's the Swiss Beats, the Timbaland, The Neptunes,
The Havoc, the Dr. Dre of my neighborhood. They remind me of those producers and hopefully
they will get there one day. So I try to give them the same shine that I need as well as a
new artist, I need new producers, so that we can make an impact on the game.
Where can fans go to find out more about Nut-Rageous?
Nut-Rageous: They can go to my myspace

Shows, Tourschedule, appearances? Where and when can we get to see Nut-Rageous here in the US?
