Johnny Walker ~ COLD HEAT ENTERTAINMENT ~

What's good with you today?
Johnny  Ahh just chillen, taking a smoke break if you know what im saying .

Alongside with Jak Danielz you are the co-founder of Cold Heat Entertainment, a independent company providing all the elements of Hip Hop. Give us a little inside on all the services Cold Heat Entertainment provides.
Johnny:   We basically do EVERYTHING in house, from the music (production & Songwriting), to artwork, videos , etc . . we do it all. I started out writing graffiti then got into rapping for a lil bit, before you know it , I hooked up with Jak Danielz, started COLD HEAT, then linked up with DJ JS-1 and the rest is History.

Your'e and Jak Danielz music was played during the national show of 'Live with Regis and Kelly ' , can you give us some more details?
Johnny:   My boy Marco works for the show and wanted to add some of our music in with the show, that let to DJ JS-1 being the first DJ EVER to be on Live with Regis & Kelly Show.. . Congratulations

Who have you worked with in the past and can you name some of the projects?
Johnny:   We worked with tons of people from JS-1 , Buckshot , Sadat X, on our single BULLSEYE. To Craig G & JS-1 on "Hip Hop Manual. To Blaq Poet, Big Noyd, Nutragous ,Infamous Mobb , etc . The list goes on, stick around were just gettin started.

Can you speak on any current projects you are working on and who else is involved ?
Johnny:   We just dropped our album BAR HOPPIN on Bomb Hip Hop Records , now me & Jak are working on another album now, . Its still gonna have plenty of raw hip hop treats, but also contains some food for thought. Jak is a very talented song writer and has alot to express, as well a punchline animal. But aside from that I did a couple of tracks for Sadat X, Craig G, Blaq Poet. Im all about COLD HEAT and GROUND ORIGINAL right now.

Being you have been in the industry for a good while, how do you feel Hip Hop has evolved? For the better or? And what could use some 'polishing up', so to speak if any?
Johnny:   Hip Hop is what it is, TV and radio has gotten so commercial that the younger kids dont know there roots of "HIP HOP", not "RAP". Anyone who listens to Real Hip Hop knows where to get it, and whats really poppin, you know, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price, Immortal Technique, Talib Kwali, Mos Def, Nutragous , Aesop Rock , C Rayz Walz, Atmosphere , Cage, El- P, SR NBk, Poisen Pen, Siagon, Bekay, Papoose, etc , etc, etc . . . . You want me to go on . ...........

What's in the future for Johnny Walker? Goals?
Johnny :  Right now im just working on this Ground Original thing with DJ JS-1 , he has alot of treats up his sleeve . Also like I said Jak and I are still working on album. I been doing a few things with my man CRAIG G and SADAT X . My goal mainly is just to have us run our own indepentent company. Were we call the shots .

What do you like to do in your spare time, if there is any?
Johnny :  Spare time ? What the hell is that ? ha ha. Nah when I do have free time I like to just chill with good friends and have some laughs, good friends are hard to find , especially with all the fake a** people you meet in the music industry.

Favorite foods?
Johnny :  I like everything from Italian of course . . .fugetaboudit, Steak & Lobster , Jackson Hole Burgers , Quiznos , KFC , the list goes on .

Johnny :  Yeah I just want to say, when are we gonna seperate HIP HOP and RAP or R & B ? ? ? Its all not the same . We need to seperate the genres . oh and any djays who just work on Mash Ups and cant make there OWN RECORDS should be SHOT . . no wait . . First SLAPPED real hard then SHOT ! ! ! Congratutaltions . . your HORRIBLE .
